May is party month...

A few paper cones I made to tuck money gifts in for the month of May.
Cones are a great way to use those small pieces of ribbon that are just to small for anything else.
The paper is from the Madeline collection from Brenda Walton.

May is a busy month for our family, birthdays, birthday parties, graduations, recitals, end of year school activities...I always feel like I need an energy pill just to get through the month.

I spent yesterday making party invitations and a banner for my granddaughter's birthday...The party theme is dogs and polka dots..

I will be making paper purses today for my youngest daughter's 23th birthday on Sunday. I can't believe Allie will be 23......oh my where has the time gone....

and after that I will need to start thinking about a Star Wars party for my grandson's seventh birthday...

I really love working on kids parties....

Paper Purse

I want to thank everyone for the comments and emails about Fairy's Gate.

It really came about because I needed to organize my bookmarks of free and wonderful things. I needed to find an easier and faster way of locating items.
I tried organizing my bookmarks into folders but found I just had too many and sometimes I would place things into odd folders....

My camera is out getting fixed but I wanted to share this with you so I popped it into the scanner....This is a sample of what I do with free and wonderful things.

Not a great image and it really doesn't do this cute little purse justice..

This is what I made by combining these paper dolls

and this little ...purse from here...
Inside the purse is a set of the paper dolls that I printed on one sheet of photo paper, making the dolls just under 2 inches high..

I will be using these for a Girl's Day Tea....

I also printed out six paper dolls three blond and three
brunette as well as six outfits full scale. I placed them around a glass cylinder for a centerpiece. Sorry this won't fit in the scanner, I will take pictures when I get my camera back.

At the tea will be food or items that represent the countries around the centerpiece.

Fairy's Gate

It is amazing what you can find out there online.
I have a large list of bookmarks of free and wonderful things.
I have been organizing them so that I would have them on hand for scrapbooking, birthday party and everyday fun.
I started another blog so that I could share some of these delightful freebees with you.
With spring, Easter and "taxes" I did not get as far as I hoped.
Nevertheless, it is a start,
and there is a lot more to come…..

Recycled candy box becomes a delightful art kit for my daughter’s
Easter basket …

Last Easter this pretty papered box was filled with yummy chocolate candy. This
year it becomes a house for my latest kit….
Tiny bottles of gold glass glitter, English white lace, and beautiful vintage French trim
each finds a place in this pinkadelicious kit…
