gift giving....

I have a fascination for Pierrots and mimes….

So when planning my gift giving packaging for this year, this

little guy looked me right in the eye and said it is about time.

I find it a challenge to come up with ideas to hold monetary gifts, sticking green in a card is just not my style.

A nest of curled shredded music sheets is in the bottom of the box.

In the lid I put some polka dotted paper, a die cut letter x and bubblegum pink ribbon.

A small gold Dresden paper cone topped with vintage English lace beading and black silk ribbon hangs from the pink ribbon. The money is rolled very tight and placed in the middle of the black silk ribbon and lace. A tiny paper crown around the money tops off the gift.

Next week when I can get better pictures I will post my Pierrot cone gift box.

think spring.....

Your box look Magnfic!!!!!!
Adore how you pulled you Pierrot and crepe ruffles together on top ~ Appreciate your work and style! I get YOU !

Also, thank you for your advise Louise. We took it and did file a complaint with the Texas Dept of Consumer Help, We would not have known about it, if not for you. Somehow, I feel all will be well. Still, it's been a strange and upsetting situation.

I'm nominating you to wrap all my presents from now on! That's one gorgeous presentation.

I remember when my man and I got married, his parents gave us a green plastic beach bucket and a shovel. There was a lid on the bucket. Inside were green bills all scrunched up individually. When I looked at my mother-in-law, she just said "whenever we ask newlyweds what they'd like as a gift, they usually say they want a bucket of money." Ha!

It was the most inventive, generous, and memorable gift of our wedding day.

Oohhh this gift presentation box is sooo beautiful! In fact I think that there is no need for money inside, the box is just pretty enough to be the gift, I would be very happy with it. I love the pierrot!

Thanks for being such a faithful commenter on my blog Louise, I do appreciate that very much. I like your stories about collecting too. Thanks!

Dear Louise,

My heart melted at the sight of your sweet Pierrot! What a delightful way to decorate a gift.

I love that you daughter recreated her dress from a Victoria magazine photo!

Hey Louise,
Lili and I love what you shared about Allie when she was a little girl. She is lucky to have you. What about your granddaughter (10 yrs) does she like American Girl books and dolls?

So glad you stopped by for a visit. I have been fairly absent from blogging lately. Been so busy with the move and a new job. And what a beautiful little treasure box you have made. Lucky is the person to receive it! Hugs! Renea
