Laugh ….

“A laugh is a smile that bursts.”
Mary H. Waldrip

My New Year's resolution this year is to LAUGH more.
I did not make this resolution because I didn’t laugh before but because I
find that if I am aware of laughter I laugh more.
Laughter is good for both the body and the soul.
I plan to seek out things to make me laugh just like I seek out beauty and inspiration.
I want to take more time for silly things, silly movies, I wish I was clever enough to say
things to make others laugh.

I have found that some of the strongest people I know are those that face life’s ups and downs with a smile on their face.
I don’t think it is because their heart hurts less, I think it is because their
choose a different path to get through the bumpy parts.

( My daughter Allie (on the right) and her friend Amanda enjoying
life in Boston.)

"A smile starts on the lips, A grin spreads to the eyes, A chuckle comes
from the belly; But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows,
and bubbles all around" Carolyn Birmingham

"Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. "
Victor Hugo

Laughter...the best medicine. I agree with you! Also singing out loud, no matter how you sound.

Yes, more laughter in our world would cure many ills! This is a wonderful resolution. I'm going to put a post-it on my board that reads LAUGHTER.

This is a great post Louise and laughter is so important!!! Isn't a belly laugh wonderful? I don't have those very often, but when I do, it's such a stress reliever and so cleansing. I hope you have lots of silly, fun, happy, laughable moments this year!!!!
Smiles, Betzie

Happy New year Louise, I also agree with you. We were at the Health clinic yesterday for our flu shots and up on the wall there was a poster. Stay Healthy: exercise, eat well and laugh often.

Hugs Karen

Your daughter and her friend exude joy and happiness! Laughter is a true gift! Even medically it has been proven to help heal the sick. You have lit the torch and I will grab your torch and be on the ready for a laugh.

Not necessary funny but good, have you seen the movie: It's Complicated? A good one!

Hugs and a smile with crinkling eyes to you!

Yes, DO laugh more! A worthy resolution, one which will spread to those around you. Nothing like a good flat-out belly laugh to put things right in my little world.
