Blue Skies coming my way....

Talk about perfect, yesterday was a glorious day, perfect in everyway..
My dh is home this week and we are doing much needed spring clean up around our
New England homestead…

I live in a small one traffic light town.
The population is about 4000 it has almost double since
we built our saltbox home more then 20 years ago..

This picture is for Penny of lavenderhillstudio.… she posted about how she had
woods all around her house. I left her a comment and told her I had so much lawn that I nicknamed my
dh Forest Gump… This is just the west side…of our house

As I said the town keeps growing the land beyond the
the tall tree in the picture has just been approved
for 39 homes...
All the homes will be on 4 acres or more but still it's time for me to
move.



Here are my four brown miniature donkeys. Monica, Sicily, Sassy and Marty..
as well as my son and his dog... Reebok....
Most people believe the donkey to be stupid and stubborn..
They are stubborn because they are smart..

Here is my spotted jack Spooky..

He is still shedding his winter coat..
He is trained to stay in our yard , come when I call, will return to his pen on his own when it's time to
to be locked in for the night...
We had a mailman that often said that he was better behaved then a lot of the children on his route...

Well I guess it's time for me to go back to work...

Busy Bee In May

May has always been my busy month…
I have two lists of things to be done and places to go,
this is my fun list…
I like to have a list with just the fun things on it,
for me it’s a reminder that life sometimes balances out.
And I am happy to say this month is the one month that
My fun list is longer…. Yeah

Time marker

These past few days I have woken up to the lovely blooms of this flowering tree outside my bedroom window. My hubby will open the curtains in the morning so it is the first thing I see.
It is with this tree that I mark my year, not by birthdays or New Years. I will spend an extra few minutes in my cozy bed and gaze out at my pink blooms of time.
I reflect on the good and bad… youngest off to college ( we planted this tree when I was pregnant with him, my daughter totaled two cars in three months, the second just two weeks ago (now we worry more) feeling very grateful that she wasn't hurt. I started a blog, I have been more creative and doing more art than I have in years…… and as the blooms fade away I will make a list of hopes and dreams……….and look forward to the coming year.
